| Job Description : | Job SummaryThe Worship Director oversees all details encompassing a worship service, leading people to encounter God through creative and personal praise, and worship and prayer to fulfill Restoration’s vision and mission.DetailsStart Date: ImmediatelyHours per Week: 20Reports to: Lead PastorPlanning Functions1. Work with the Lead Pastor to build a Creative Team to develop themes, messages, and selection of music.2. Plan worship services in partnership with pastor.3. Plan and implement creative and engaging ways to communicate the message in a way that encourages growth in faith and personal relationship with Jesus.4. Have a vision for where God might be calling our congregation to grow in new expressions of worship.5. Plan and prepare music selections for worship services and holidays.6. Lead weekly pre-service rehearsals to prepare for Worship and to cultivate a Christ-Centered community.7. Attend weekly staff meetings.Logistical and Accountability Functions: 1. Direct and provide accountability for all tech team and volunteers in developing leaders in their areas.2. Assure that the worship vision is conveyed to music teams in a unifying manner.3. Clearly communicate worship outlines and pertinent details to staff and volunteers for all services.4. Embrace and adapt to growth, change, innovation, collaboration and creativity.5. Maintain regular and flexible working hours as determined by the needs of ministry.6. Prepare volunteers and materials for special component of a service as needed (i.e. communion, scripture readings, child dedications, baptisms, testimonies, offering, etc.).7. Understand and oversee the processes involved in preparing, leading, and evaluating worship ministries at Restoration.Worship Functions: 1. Work closely with Lead Pastor to ensure that creative, musical, worshipful elements coordinate and support the overall mission and teaching during the Sunday Service (5:15 p.m.).2. Identify, invite, develop and schedule musicians (instrumentalists and vocalists) for the worship teams.3. Inspire, engage and lead people to worship and encounter God in a worship service through prayer, song, music, media, art, testimonies, readings, etc.4. Model and lead heartfelt worship in an invitational style that draws people in and points to Jesus.Technical Functions: 1. Identify, invite, develop and schedule technology teams for audio and visual support.2. Utilize Planning Center Online for scheduling, creating the order of service, managing and connecting staff and volunteers (experience preferred).3. Using ProPresenter, prepare necessary materials for rehearsals and worship service: worship slides, scripture, etc. (experience preferred).* Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications1. Experience in leading worship services and teams; including youth and adult musicians of varying skill levels.2. Giftedness in the areas of creative communication, leadership and administration/organization.3. Proficiency in vocals and one or more leading instruments (piano, guitar).4. Effective communication skills: written, verbal and interpersonal.5. Demonstrated ability to convey a unifying vision to music teams.6. Commitment to identify, recruit, and nurture volunteer musicians of all ages toward greater use of their gifts.7. Education and ministry experience needed to accomplish the goals of this role.8. Experience with worship technology including audio, lighting, video, Planning Center, and ProPresenter.9. Experience with Google Suite.Personal Qualifications1. Pursuing a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ through the regular practice of spiritual disciplines including prayer, Bible reading and study, and worship.4. Genuine interest in people from diverse life stages and an ability and willingness to initiate relationships with them.6.
