| Job Description : | Job Description forWORSHIP LEADERPomona Presbyterian ChurchSUBJECT: Job Description – Paid Part Time Worship Leader 5 hours/weekPrincipal Function: Co direct and serve as a spiritual leader and serve as musical worship leader, leading worship for church, working with and developing the worship teamPosition Qualifications: Passionate about Jesus and has the skill set for working in an urban multicultural ministry setting, while working towards the primary task of leading others in worship.Able to play an instrument or sing to lead musical worship for diverse congregation. Also has a strong spiritual and emotional intelligences.RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to: Vision for leading other in worship.Develop strategies to effectively teach and demonstrate to the congregation how to worship.Work with the pastor and others to plan weekly worship services.Recruit, nurture and develop adults within the congregation to serve on the worship team.Communicate effectively between the pastor, congregation, and worship team.Oversee annual budget for worship team.Evaluate and assess supplies, materials, and equipment needed for worship.Participate in staff team meetings, on retreats, and in other meetings as requested.Work under the supervision of the pastor.
