We are Grace and Lace – Check us out here: www.graceandlace.comYour Role with Grace & Lace: Try on articles of clothing that are in production;Provide feedback on fit;Model clothing long enough for Fashion Design team to discuss needed changes and to manually adjust for fit.Schedule: 3X weekly fittings for 1.5 hours. Plans to switch to Tuesday and Thursday only schedule (2 hour fitting sessions) in the next 3 months.Our Ideal Candidate: As the Women’s Apparel Fit Model, you must be comfortable working closely in person with the Fashion Design team to provide feedback on the fit of various articles of clothing currently in production. Your modeling and feedback during the design stage ensures high quality clothes that fit comfortably on a real person, are true to size and fit in a flattering manner. As the Women’s Apparel Fit Model, you must love fashion, enjoy working with others, and thrive on effective communication. If these qualities describe you, then we have the perfect opportunity for you:Lives our core values: HumilityExcellenceBeing an OvercomerSkills/Requirements: Ability to stand for a couple hours at a time with good posture;Good communication skills – Can effectively and concisely verbalize fit issues during a live fitting; Ei: whether clothing is too tight or loose, pulling uncomfortably, restrictive etc.Body awareness – Able to identify where specific fit issues are coming from;Keen attention to detail and not afraid to voice your own opinion;Comfortable working closely with fit team who will need to adjust and manipulate garment on the model, “comfortable in your own skin”;Model needs to be proportioned and symmetrical with same body measurements as the company’s Base Size. Model will be measured regularly and must be able to maintain these measurements as a requirement for continuation of employment:Bust (fullest part): 37 ½” -39 ½” (B or C cup)Waist: 28 ½”-30 ½”Hip (widest part): 39 ½”-41 ½”Height: 5’5” – 5’7”Bonus Points: Knowledge of how clothing should fit and feel to be able to offer specific suggestions; andAwareness of fashion trends in style, fit, and silhouette.Job Type: Part-timeSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: One location |
