| Job Description : | Theatrical/Event Production Manager for National ToursBreak the Floor Productions (www.breakthefloor.com) is one of the world’s preeminent dance entertainment companies, encompassing touring theatrical productions, dance workshops, photo and video production, corporate events and apparel.We are currently seeking Production Managers for on-going and upcoming theatrical touring events. Applicants should have an extensive knowledge of event Production Management, as well as basic knowledge of all elements of theatrical production including audio, video and lighting.PLEASE NOTE: Applicants MUST be based in Los Angeles, California to be considered for this position. Our shows travel Thursday through Monday, so you will be home Tuesday & Wednesday of each week in between tour cities.Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities: -Responsible for all pre-production elements of each show, including booking labor, security, setting call times, arranging truck arrival times, and more.-Traveling to host cities for events.-Responsible for overall running of road & local crew from load-in through load-out.-Responsible for overseeing load-in and load-out in a timely manner. As Production Manager, you also act as Crew-Chief during load-in.This is a physical requirement and you will be expected to help load & unload trucks, setup staging, and assist with A/V and lighting setup if needed. You are there from beginning to end of each load-in and load-out.-Ensure equipment is maintained either through self-servicing equipment, or informing BTFP office.-Ensure equipment is put on truck in orderly fashion to ensure it’s safe arrival in next city.-Ensuring protection of BTFP’s image and reputation at events worldwide.Experience: -Knowledge of dance conventions & competitions is a major plus, please include this in your resume.-Minimum 2 years tour management or production management experience in related entertainment production field.-Basic conventional/intelligent lighting, audio, and video experience.-Ability to work long hours in high-stress theatrical production environments.-Ability to work overnight shifts.-Desire to tour & work year-round.This position’s pay scale starts as a day rate or weekly flat rate (per city), and if we feel you are a good fit for us (and if you think we are a good fit for you!) we will transition you to a full-time salaried position (with benefits).Compensation: Initially $1300-$1700/wk flat rate, then $55k-$75k yearly salary + full benefits.Break The Floor Productions is proud to be an EOE employer M/F/D/V.Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $1,300.00 – $2,000.00 per weekBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payApplication Question(s):Please describe your previous experience in the entertainment/production industry.Do you have basic knowledge of entertainment lighting, video & audio systems?
