Job Description : New Song School of the Arts is seeking qualified candidates for camp directors this summer. NSSOTA has become a premier music, theatre, and arts school in the North Texas area. This summer, we are offering 17 different camps throughout the summer. Most camps are one week Monday through Friday from 8:45am to 11:45am OR 12:00pm to 3:00pm.We are offering several types of camp:Choral focused camps: Sing! & ShowstoppersMusical Theatre focused camps: Production camps of Annie KIDS, Aladdin KIDS, and Frozen KIDS as well as one week ensemble focused campsActing focused camps: Scene Study & Creating a CharacterArt focused camps: Artzmania – age appropriate levelsDigital Music focused camps: DJ Mixer and Beatz, Loopz, & Rapzand so many more!Below is the job qualifications and description for camp directors of one week choral camps.Job Qualifications:Bachelors Degree minimum; preferably in music, theatre, art, or educationa person who is passionate about the arts, and desires to see the benefits that the fine arts brings to the lives of those touched by such giftsa person who can be adaptive in their approach to work with a variety of studentsqualified to teach the subject matter of the campKnowledgeable in the consentration of the specific camp and can impart this knowledge in an age appropriate wayPersonality type/skill set:EXCELLENT people skills, strong leadership skills, confident, very organized, outgoing, ability to be firm, but gentle, with a mentoring, nurturing, professional, commanding presence.Job Description:Organize activities and curriculum for the duration of summer camp. Most camps end a performance or showcasing of the student’s accomplishments.
