Skydance Animation is looking for a strong Production Supervisor to drive, schedule and manage the needs and workflow of the Story and Editorial departments on our first episodic series. They will coordinate the day-to-day needs of the Story and Editorial departments and oversee the various departmental transitions while coordinating with Shot Production and eventually Post Production in an organized and timely manner. The ideal candidate is a willing, proactive and positive team-player, with the ability to multi-task amongst shifting priorities. They are an experienced leader who can motivate a team within a constantly changing environment. #animation
Responsibilities
Strong working knowledge of story, editorial, and post production needs on an animated production as it moves through episodic production to completion
Work alongside Production Manager to meet overall production scheduling and budget requirements
Understands how budget, scheduling, and overtime are affected by changes; ensure weekly quotas, department milestones, and inventory expectations are met
Assign artist work, drive and manage schedules and workload, coordinate timely availability of resources
Proactively predict and communicate as new assignments are needed; partner with Production Manager to continuously update statuses
Attend reviews and communicate specific action items to departments, artists, etc.
Create and update databases as required with notes, statuses, and other information
Create and update production tools and schedules
Supervise and mentor Production Coordinators and Production Assistants
Other ad hoc projects and duties as needed
Requirements
Previous experience Supervising on animated production(s), features or television, will be highly preferred, but we are open to considering a senior Production Coordinator who is uniquely ready to take on the next level in their career
Strong managerial experience, leading a team within a professional, fast-paced environment
Previous experience using ShotGrid (previously Shotgun) and Storyboard Pro strongly preferred
International vendor production experience, a plus
Exceptionally strong attention to detail, organizational and follow-through skills
Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining proactive communication with team
Ability to maintain positive attitude while anticipating issues and proactively identifying to solve and address
