Responsibilities
MSNBC is looking for an experienced Senior Producer who will be responsible for creating, producing, and supervising segments for Symone Sanders’s new show.
The show will air on MSNBC Saturday and Sunday and stream on Peacock’s The Choice on Monday and Tuesday.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the supervision of the editorial vision of each day, including suggesting stories and guests for the show
Supervise and copy edit segment producers’ scripts
Coach and mentor show staff
Write and produce segments when needed
Become involved in planning process
Strong control room skills and the ability to step in and run control room production during live show
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience6 years of editorial experience in a fast-paced news
room environment, ability to anticipate and respond
quickly to change
Experience in story first journalism approachExperience developing producer talent
