They will be responsible for managing, organizing, updating, distributing, editing, deleting, curating, archiving and digitally filing all digital assets.The Media Asset Coordinator must be highly organized and understand the importance of creating a strong file management system, and the role it plays in the efficiency of an organization. They must be able to quickly organize and distribute media to various parties (content team, broadcast team, clients, vendors, etc.). The Media Asset Coordinator will also provide support to the Post Production Supervisor on the daily operations of the Post Production Content department.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGResponsible for coordinating, standardizing, and overseeing all post elements, media, and projects ensuring archiving and accessibility.Archive and restore files in and out of long term archival systems, such as AWS Glacier, LTO, Google Drive and other storage systemsCreate and maintain a media asset tracker during live events alongside the content production and post production team, and maintain the content tracker documentDevelop, enhance, implement, and document Standard Operating Procedures for media management, MAM, metadata, tagging, etc, to provide for maximum MAM system stability and functionalityServe as a technical support owner of the MAM, responding to user requests and issues related to media management systems as needed by either forwarding users to the proper support teams or addressing issues directlyLiaise with other internal teams such as Engineering, Operations and Corporate IT, to ensure proper implementation, availability and operation of media management systemsPerform common administrative tasks on the MAM system including user rights/group management, workflow maintenance, and interface configurationParticipate in off-hour issue response by working both within the team to develop maintainable support schedules and by developing procedures for other support teams to follow and escalate during off timesDefine and lead all policies, procedures and workflows for the Media Asset Management (MAM) system and video asset lifecycle, from acquisition through ingest and archive, post-production, distribution and retention.Cultivate relationships with partners in editorial, product and video engineering, to train and support teams utilizing asset management tools.WHAT WE NEED TO SEE2 + years of professional media management experienceExpert knowledge and understanding of Media Asset Management, cloud technology, and traditional on-prem and remote IT systems including:Asset Management: Signiant, Aspera, Google Drive, Storage DNA, AWS storage, and Metadata management and validationAsset Lifecycle Management: MAM, SAN, DAM infrastructuresCloud and IT: AWS, API integration, cost management, networking, securityAdvanced knowledge of MacOS, Microsoft Windows, and Adobe Creative Cloud apps including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder and After EffectsDeep understanding of rights management and administrationExperience with codecs, image types, resolutions, frame rates as they pertain to digital media trendsFlexibility to adapt to changing and rigid timelines, deliverables, and deadlines.Emphasis on organization, attention to detail, and a hunger to streamline processes through innovation.A proactive, problem solving, team-first dispositionSolid technical background in post-production, including a thorough knowledge of linear and nonlinear editing processes, media file formats, and other miscellaneous equipment used in the day-to-day post-production processStrong communication skills (written and verbal) with a keen attention to detailPLUSESBachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Media/Film/TV/Entertainment/Broadcast or equivalentEditing skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects)The Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
