Job Description : What We Do and What We Need: Momentous Sports & Entertainment is excited to announce our search for a Marketing Graphic Designer & Public Relations Associate for CaroMont Health Park, home to the Gastonia Honey Hunters, one of the newest members of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB). Located in Gastonia, North Carolina (20 miles west of Charlotte).Under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer, the Marketing Graphic Designer & Public Relations Associate creates and executes community engagement initiatives that cultivate brand awareness and brand experience for a diverse and multigenerational audience. The Marketing Graphic Designer & Public Relations Associate is a brand ambassador with a resilient, positive outlook on all situations, circumstances, and challenges.Within the graphic designer responsibility portion of the role, we allow creative control of the process of defining requirements, visualizing, and creating graphics, including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos. Our website, social media, exhibitions, and more will be visually shaped by your creativity. Graphics should grab the attention of those who see them and convey the right message. We need someone with a sense of creativity and a solid ability to translate requirements into designs.Your Responsibilities: Create and execute Momentous Sports & Entertainment/Gastonia Honey Hunters community engagement planEstablish relationships and build partnerships with community groups and stakeholder organizations, including nonprofits, youth sports teams, businesses, faith-based organizations, and municipalities.Design illustrations, logos, and other designs using softwareUse the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphicTest graphics across various media and revise designs based on inputEnsure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brandBuild awareness of and support for Momentous Sports & Entertainment/Gastonia Honey Hunters’ community engagement programsWork with Entertainment and Guest Experiences team to create and execute experiences outside of CaroMont Health ParkPromote Momentous Sports & Entertainment/Gastonia Honey Hunters through community outreach activities, including marketing, planning, and executing related projects to increase brand awarenessManage outreach programs, such as mascot appearances, community events, and philanthropic effortsImprove our brand awareness and outreach through creative, innovative ideasParticipate in special projects, such as surveys or courtesy calls.Engage in community eventsAs an official representative, take part in community organizationsGrow engagement efforts by identifying and attending events on behalf of the organization or by connecting the organizations with community organizations/stakeholdersAssist with special events held at CaroMont Health Park throughout the yearAssist with social media content creation and managementAssist with photographing and recording all community engagement activities/eventsContribute positively to the team atmosphere by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all front office and game day staffWork games, nights, weekends, and holidays as assignedBring this with you: Preferred sports and entertainment and/or marketing experienceCollege degree or experience in Marketing, Sports Management, Community Relations, or a related field; preferably with a four-year degreeA proven track record of graphic designIllustration portfolios or other graphicsExperience with design software (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, or Dreamweaver)The ability to see details and aestheticsExcellent communication skillsMethodical approach and ability to meet deadlinesStrong oral and written communication, prioritization, organizational skills, and engaging interpersonal skillsPossess a strong sense of professionalism and customer service in a high-pressure and fast-paced environmentAbility to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to work constructively with community organizations and stakeholders at all levels of the organizationUnimpeachable integrity and personal ethicsHigh energy, strong detail orientation and superior work ethicProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteIn a family-friendly atmosphere, we hold year-round sports, music, and entertainment events.
