TITLE: Guest Experience Usher

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide guests with a consistent level of friendly, impressive service that exceeds their expectations during Sharks hockey games and other SAP Center events.
Control admission to events by taking tickets and checking proper credentials. Greet and direct guests to their seats and be responsive to their needs, questions, comments, and complaints.
Conducts the security screen and search upon guests’ arrival for all events.
Provide access control for restricted areas and SAP Center property.
Occasionally assist in other areas such as removing portable chairs after some events and helping with clean up.
Qualifications / Requirements:
At this time, all SSE employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to working onsite at any SSE facility, unless the individual is able to telework or is otherwise eligible for an exemption in accordance with applicable law. If on-site services are to be performed, SSE will require you to certify your vaccination status as part of the onboarding process.
You must enjoy working with a variety of people and want to bring a guest experience-oriented approach to work.
You must have excellent communication skills, be able to frequently walk up and down stairs, stand for long periods of time, and lift chairs if necessary.
If selected, you will be required to complete a background check.
You will be required to wear the uniform provided by SAP Center and place a $60.00 deposit.
Scheduling:
10-20 hours per week depending on the event schedule.
Generally, shifts start one hour and 15 minutes prior to the event until 15-30 minutes following the event.
You must be available to work two-thirds of the scheduled events for each month including two-thirds of all weekend events. Most shifts are evenings, weekends and holidays.
