With its picturesque paths, vistas and displays combined with engaging events and activations, Fairchild provides an unforgettable experience for each and every guest.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:· Support daily operational aspects of the Garden’s events, retail and admissions programs· Lead operational teams as they support events and programs, including load-in, activation, and tear-down/load-out· Provide operational support for other Garden departments including housekeeping, security, and parking· Develop and implement detailed operational plans in support of Garden events and programs· Schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage for regular operations and special operations within a defined budget· Create and submit RFPs for special projects and vendors· Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party vendors as needed· Recruit, Conduct Interviews, Hire, and Train new and existing teams· Develop and implement departmental standard operating procedures (SOP’s)· Support the production and execution of all garden operations, events and educational activities· Manage budgets to ensure financial responsibility and profitability· Develop and maintain communications protocols to insure seamless communication with and between all departments· Assist with payroll procedures across multiple teams, weekly audits, and scheduled submittals.· Serve as both client-and-guest-facing representative, providing excellent customer and client service and maintaining excellent communication with all parties· This is a high-pressure job with long hours and requires a dedicated professional who is willing to roll up their sleeves and gives 100% at all times. Flexibility in personal schedule is a must (including Holidays and Weekends)· Other duties as deemed necessary or as directedREQUIREMENTS:· College degree or equivalent experience preferred· Minimum three-to-five years of management experience in Operations· Hospitality experience a plus· Strong project management skills· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications required, with a special emphasis on Excel· Client focus with attention to detail, flexibility, and accountability for results· Ability to build consensus and cultivate relationships· Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills· Excellent verbal and written comprehension and communication skills· Ability to multi-task and maintain a calm demeanor in a stressful environment· Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate staff and support senior staff· Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United StatesJob Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per yearSchedule:8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:Miami, FL 33156: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: One location
