|Nestled on the North Shore of Long Island’s “Gold Coast”, Cold Spring Country Club is a private, member-owned country club featuring a spectacular Seth Raynor designed 18-hole golf course and prestigious catering services perfect for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, private parties and golf outings. The clubhouse includes two kitchens, an informal grill room that can accommodate up to 200 guests and a ballroom that can seat up to 300.Cold Spring is seeking an organized, energetic and enthusiastic person to book and oversee operations for private events, and to assist the management team with our member food and beverage program. The primary function of the position in to handle private event bookings, assist clients through the planning process and supervise the operations of events.Qualified candidates must have a strong work ethic, enjoy interacting with members and guests, and have a personable and outgoing personality with a “hands on” service approach. Excellent organizational skills and computer proficiency are necessary. Experience with booking and supervising events is required. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:Help members and clients arrange banquets, luncheons, meetings, weddings and other social events.Respond to event inquiries and provide tours of the club’s facilities.Work with Chef and General Manager to determine pricing, menus and other details for catered events.Prepare and execute banquet contracts.Help clients plan menus with the assistance of the Executive Chef and confirm all details for events.Prepare Banquet Event Orders with all necessary information for successful execution of events and distribute information to department heads and supervisors.Attend management meetings to review and prepare for upcoming events.Schedule and supervise service staff for private events.Obtain necessary proof of insurance for third party vendors.Coordinate event setups; arrange for printing of menus, procuring of decorations, entertainment and other special requests.Oversee events to ensure client satisfaction.Ensure the security of valuables (club’s, guests’ and members’ property) during events.Prepare and send invoices to clients, ensuring that all appropriate charges are billed correctly and that prompt payment is received.Assist with development of profit & loss statements.Track new products and trends in food service and catering applicable to the club.Ensure that proper housekeeping and energy conservation procedures are always followed.Maintain past and potential client files; schedule calls to assess on-going needs of prospective clients for catering services.Help plan and participate in staff training activities.Assume responsibility of manager on duty when necessary.Assist with management of food and beverage operations for member dining and special events.Base Salary based on experience.
