ENG Photographer/The News with Shepard Smith

CNBC is seeking a Field Photographer to clearly and creatively record news events and perform ENG operations so the story may be effectively conveyed to the viewers in a complete, factual, timely and professional manner. You will be asked to gather video and audio content in the field while teamed up with reporters, producers and on your own. Candidate needs to have strong storytelling skills along with solid communication skills. The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines is critical. You will be asked to travel on short notice to cover breaking news, troubleshoot on the fly, work as a team, and push the boundaries of video production innovation.

Must have a professional level of skill in lighting and audio operations in the field including RF technology.

Operate, service, and maintain in proper working order broadcast electronic equipment provided for the execution of assignments. Maintain and operate a full-size SUV to travel to and from assignments. Must be familiar with all aspects of ENG technology and LiveU mobile transmission technology to carry out live shots. Must conduct wide range of field operations with a clear understanding of safety procedures along with following strict COVID protocols.

Positions are based in Chicago IL and Washington DC.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:

Associates, Bachelor’s degree, or related experience in broadcast television production preferred.
5 years of experience in broadcast news environment as ENG Photographer.
Experience with P2 file base recording and transfer technology.
Experience with LiveU mobile transmission technology along with knowledge of Satellite/Live truck operations.
Must be willing to travel and be flexible, able to work all shifts including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
Technical requirements and responsibilities:

Operational and technical knowledge of Panasonic AJ-PX-5000, Panasonic Varicam LT and EVA cameras.
Familiar with the operation of LED lights as well as HMI lights.Technical and operational knowledge of LiveU Streaming technology.Familiarity with Movi or Gimble camera stabilization system preferred but not mandatory.
Strong working knowledge of audio equipment including wireless mics, audio mixers, IFB’s, etc.Knowledge of media file transfer technologies such as Latakoo.
Knowledge of non-liner editing platforms.
Familiarity with COFDM and other RF technology preferred.
Comfortable with the application of make-up/powder on guests/talent when necessary

Additional requirements:

Must be a team player and ability to work well with others.
Must be able to perform duties under the pressure of a live television production environment while exhibiting great attention to detail.
Valid driver’s licenseValid US Passport
Understanding of airline reequipments and shipping of equipment protocol.
Ability to physically move and carry heavy production equipmentAble to travel domestically and internationally at any time.
Proficient in the operation of laptop computers
Represent the CNBC brand in a professional manner.
