| Job Description : | Director of Worship ArtsSpringfield First United Methodist Church is looking for an experienced, creative leader to fill the role of Director of Worship Arts. The Director of Worship Arts helps to shape the worship culture of the church, coordinate worship events both onsite and via live streaming, and develop the team members to grow in their gifts and leadership. We seek someone who is a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ who is committed to growing and leading others in faith, hope, and love.The Director of Worship Arts is responsible for the planning and oversight of the contemporary worship team while providing general leadership and direction to the entire worship and technical arts teams that integrate music, media and the arts in order to provide an inclusive culture of worship.Our worship team is an accomplished group of musicians who have been a part of three worship album projects in the last four years. Our music style is modern-contemporary and ready to evolve forward. The worship culture of the team is healthy with an intentionality towards personal preparation both spiritually and musically. The new Director of Worship Arts can expect to work with an existing team of 4 to 6 worship leaders and gifted musicians practicing a variety of instruments (vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums, keys, violin, harmonica and a horns section).Worship is supported with state of the art technical equipment designed to enhance the worship leader’s ability to hear clearly and lead with influence from the stage. Current equipment includes professional level microphones, keyboard and drum kit, KLANG in ear hearing systems, Yamaha CL3 digital sound board and Waves Soundgrid.The Director of Worship Arts reports to the Executive Director and receives direction from the Sr. Pastor and Associate Pastor. Compensation will be based on experience, competency and skill sets.
