Job Description : Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Director of Corporate Entertainment, is responsible for the integrity and quality of BESTAgency’s entertainment programs, casting entertainment for program special events, and assisting with conceptualization and operation of corporate events. This includes maintaining relationships with employees, property entertainment managers, and clients; formulating policies and procedures to streamline program operations; and working with human resources to handle related concerns including compliance with state and federal laws. The employee’s work setting will be a combination of working in the corporate office and will also include visits to various venues related to the company’s entertainment programs and program special events. The employee will need to be familiar with current and new regulations relating to unions, state and federal labor laws, and human resource practices and proceduresCorresponds on a weekly (or more) basis with all property heads/clients and entertainment managers of on-going programs; personally visits programs to ensure operational standardsConceives, creates, schedules, proposes and casts performances and entertainment productions for entertainment programs and program special events of all sizesIdentifies cost-saving measures within the entertainment programsConsults with the Senior Vice President on all budgetary aspects of the programs; reports program status updates to the Senior Vice PresidentContinuously evaluates program operating procedures to maximize productivity and efficiencyCompiles project files for program special events which includes: contracts, pertinent correspondence, talent and vendor pay outs, company booking sheetProvides clients with calculations of cost estimates for proposed and secured events and programsEnsures operational performance of Operations/Entertainment departmentsAdditional responsibilities: Assists and supports all property management with personnel and program issuesWorks closely with Senior Vice President in creating new entertainment and theme concepts to obtain new business for program events and entertainment programsProvides support to Operations department personnelPerforms any and all duties assigned by ManagementQualifications and Education RequirementsCandidates should possess the following:This position requires a high school diploma and at least ten (10) years in the entertainment industry as it relates to entertainers, shows, productions, operations and creative concepts, or any combination of experience and training which would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability requiredKnowledge of a wide variety of entertainers, acts, shows, and special eventsKnowledge of stage management, casting, directing and producing entertainment and productionsKnowledge of personnel management and human resourcesKnowledge of basic computer programs including Windows, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher, QuickBooks, Google Apps, and the InternetGeneral supervisory skills to supervise a large number of peopleMust have a valid driver’s license and transportationExceptional organization skills and ability to multitaskAbility to communicate both orally and in writing.Ability to generate creative ideas; ability to write proposalsMust have strong interpersonal skills.Flexible schedule.Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, management, employees, clients, vendors and talent.Ability to maintain composure in a sometimes high stressed, fast paced environment.Preferred SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Entertainment Management, Theater and Production, or Performing ArtsBENEFITS & COMPENSATIONMedical, Dental and Vision after 60 daysPTO and Wellness days401KPaid HolidaysLTDThe preceding job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this classification.
