ABOUT ACRISURE ARENA:
America’s hottest music festival destination is finally getting the world-class arena it deserves. Opening in the late 2022, the Acrisure Arena will provide the greater Palm Springs area of Southern California with a premiere 11,500+ seat venue to host the biggest artists and acts on the planet. Designed specifically for hockey and concerts, the new arena will provide top-tier hospitality, artist amenities, and all the benefits of a modern music and sports venue. In addition, the facility will serve as the new home of the American Hockey League affiliate of the Seattle Kraken.

The Coachella Valley Arena is a $290+ million project that is being 100% privately funded through outstanding partners Oak View Group, Live Nation, and the NHL Seattle.

As the Director of Game Presentation and Events, this position is responsible for all in-arena and event activities/promotions/productions/operations. The position will manage and oversee all game and event operations staff. This position is responsible for enhance the experiences of the Firebirds fans, build relationships with vendors, building/event personnel, and clients. This individual will be proactive, well organized, able to multi-task and make well-informed decisions in a high pressure and fast paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee production for all Firebirds home games and events as assigned, including: scripting, rundowns, timing sheets, in-game inventory, pre-production, live production, and operations. Controls creative, special effects, special presentations, ceremonies and promotions.
Maintain effective communication with and serve as liaison between Firebirds Game Presentation, AHL, Arena Staff, and Front Office.
Serve as project manager/producer on events for Firebirds as well as events/projects in cooperation with other departments, including: Broadcasting (radio/tv) Corporate, Marketing, Ticketing (sales and operations), Community Relations and Hockey Development.
Oversee Manager of Game Presentation and ultimately responsible for part-time staff for game operations.
Work with Kraken Game Presentation team to align Brand and entertainment value with the Kraken while adhering to the budget put forth by Finance and the Team.
Work with multiple departments on implementation of in-arena group experiences and in game assets, including (but not limited to): flag team, anthem singers, on-ice/concourse/stage performances, group recognitions etc.
Responsible for ensuring all graphic and video content is delivered, loaded and tested to be working properly prior to all game/events.
Produce, shoot, edit features and content that incorporates music, videos, vignettes, special ceremony videos, mascot skits, and in-game contest features.
Work to identify a game operations system and software that compliments a top end team presentation and works to stay on the cutting edge of creativity and innovation.
Work with Arena, Mascot(s), Ice Crew, Entertainment Teams, Organists, PA announcer(s) and Host(s) to bring to life Firebirds game experience.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 8+ years of increasingly responsible game presentation/production
Direct experience with Daktronics and Industry Standards A/V equipment/lighting
Knowledge of operational characteristics, services and activities of stadium, arena, public assembly facility or convention center
Demonstrated experience in event/sports production with a widespread knowledge of creative entertainment, game operations, event logistics, technical operations and production.
Knowledge of terminology used in control rooms and associated programs
Knowledge of principles of budget preparation and expense management
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with a special knack for storytelling
Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays and extended number of days

Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building
