Job Description : The Concierge is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression and for providing current information about the local area, attractions and events. He/she is also responsible for greeting guests, assisting with questions, and providing recommendations and directions for restaurants, attractions and events in the area, and confirmation of such requests.

Must be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and all other team members.
Maintain current information on city and local events, transportation, restaurants, entertainment, etc. and ensure that information is provided to guests.
Obtain membership in local Concierge Association for networking and building community relationships.
Provide information and assist guests concerning: restaurants, night life, transportation bookings, theater/musical productions, airlines, automobile rental, transportation directions, business services, salon establishments, and other appropriate services, and render reservations for such.
Provide followup and appropriate billing to all hotel guests or outside clients for services rendered.
Maintain current listing of local and area attractions, special events and activities.
Maintain a listing of local transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, etc.
Provide hours of operations for all restaurants, lounges and shops within the hotel.
Provide information, maps and directions as required.
Maintain all necessary maps and brochures, order and restock when necessary.
Knowledge of all emergency procedures and the ability to assist and/or respond accordingly.
Adhere to established phone etiquette procedures and ensure documentation of all pertinent information (ie: last names and all contact information)
Maintain an organized and comprehensive filing system with documentation of purchases, requests, reservations, guest history, preferences, and all pertinent information through Go Concierge.
Provide personalized phone calls to VIP’s and other designated guests welcoming them to the hotel.
Communicate all daily functions and the location in the hotel in order to assist and direct guests.
Pass on and communicate necessary information to upcoming shift to ensure completion of tasks and provide guest satisfaction.
Ensure knowledge of proper procedures for assisting guests with timely shipping of personal packages (FedEx, USPS, UPS, DHL, etc.)
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Progressive experience in a hotel and previous Concierge experience required.Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state.Must have extensive knowledge of the area and be able to give directions clearly.
