| Job Description : | About usTrinity Ralston United Methodist Church is a church who strive to share God’s love and acceptance in the community of Ralston and surrounding areas.AccompanistJob DescriptionPosition SummaryTo provide music for Trinity Ralston UMC with a focus on accompanying the praise team and choir on the piano for the purpose of singing.Responsibilities of the Accompanist· Prepare instrumental music for worship services, including special serves.· Play for all worship services, including special services. Worship is on Sunday at 8:30 and 10. Choir practices from September through May on Wednesday nights.· Work with the choir director and praise team leader to accompany both groups for singing.· Attend worship meetings to help with planning on the worship service.· Help with music for instrumentalists on praise team. This can include helping to transpose music and just all-around practicing together for each service.· Other duties that enhance the music ministry of TRUMC as assigned by the pastor or the people of the church.Qualifications· Ability to read music and play the piano.· Ability to accompany the praise team and choir.· Ability to work well with others and be part of a team.· Ability to give and receive constructive criticism.· Ability to promote harmony in the workplace by maintaining good working relationships and supporting church/pastor/staff decisions.· Ability to offer creative input for services to enhance the Spirituality of the worship service.Job Type: Part-timePay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hourBenefits:Flexible schedulePaid time offCOVID-19 considerations:In response to Covid-19 we are offering masks and we sanitize as much as possible.Application Question(s):How many years of experience in playing the piano/accompanying people?Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Work Location: One location |
