| Job Description : | To maximize guest satisfaction by providing efficient and courteous guest service during all stages of the guests’ stay in accordance with Sheraton Garden Grove-Anaheim South Hotel and Marriott brand standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Greets guest in a warm, friendly manner and opens vehicle doors upon arrivalAnswers guest questions regarding the hotel and local area facilities/servicesParks and retrieves guest/visitor vehicles in a safe, prompt mannerInspects vehicle thoroughly and completes the valet ticket, noting any prior damage foundCommunicates parking procedures to guests/visitorsEscorts guests to and from guest rooms and various meeting roomsTransports guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell areasAssists with luggage storage and retrievalArranges transportation (e.g., taxi cab, shuttle bus) for guests/visitors, and records advance transportation request, as neededDelivers guest amenities (towel, coffee, rollaways, etc) as neededEnsures logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting roomsChecks laundry/dry cleaning in and delivers to guestroomsInsures safety and security by securing and monitoring public areas for unusual activityMaintains cleanliness and orderliness of the bell desk, lobby area, and parking lot by picking up trash and debris between housekeeping runsContacts housekeeping and/or maintenance staff when guests report problemsRecords guest comments and/or complaints, makes appropriate service recovery gestures, and refers guests to managers as necessaryMakes recommendations regarding shopping, dining, or entertainment and arranges tours, taxis, or restaurant reservations for guests when possibleAnswers phones and two-way radios in a courteous and timely mannerRemains current on Sheraton Garden Grove-Anaheim South Hotel and Marriott brand standardsPerforms other job related duties as requested Ensure guest are directed to parking in guest parking spaces and ensure there are no parking issues, valet cars as neededJOB SPECIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferredExperience: Prefer (not required) some previous hotel and/or customer service experienceo Strong verbal communication skillso Must be able to operate various motor vehicleso Working knowledge of computer applications, such as Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPointo Working knowledge of general office equipment, such as phones faxes, copy machines, scanners, etc.Languages: Written and verbal understanding of English; additional languages are a plus Licenses/Certifications: Requires a valid driver’s licenseJOB CONTEXTWork Attire: Sheraton brand uniform and slip resistant shoesPhysical Work Conditions: o Requires ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).o Requires use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materialso Requires:Frequent lifting and/or pushing and pulling of items 15 pounds or moreOccasional use of a keyboard to operate various computer systemsJob Type: Full-timePay: $12.00 – $12.50 per hourExperience:relevant: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location:One locationBenefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance |
