We deliver monetary results by authentically translating our publishers’ and brand sponsors’ business outcomes to this massively diverse community.We seek out ambitious partners and are the leading Esports company for new gaming titles.Job Status: Full-TimeLocation: Columbus, OH (negotiable)Reports to: VP, Technical ManagementESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESThe Technical Manager of Event Production will play a critical role to ensure the flawless execution of events from pre-production through load-out. This individual will be responsible for areas of production design, drafting, technical and equipment management, vendor selection, labor management, and on site execution. The Technical Manager will partner with internal teams to identify and communicate technical requirements and execute, as well as troubleshoot, those requirements for production and competitive events. This role will be critical to delivering high quality experiences to viewers and spectators alike while maintaining program integrity.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGOversee the broadcast production workflow and management of all on-site broadcast staff and vendors from event load-in to load-outWork cross-functionally with the Events team to create a synchronous event that delivers an incredible experience to both the viewer and spectatorPartner with line producers to secure personnel, negotiate rates, handle scheduling, as well as budget management and reconciliationCoordinate with internal teams to manage client communication and expectations; ensure deliverables and milestones are efficiently met and on scheduleIdentify and secure all equipment needed to execute events and productionEnsure all transmission requirements are metDetermine and communicate internet bandwidth needs for broadcast and operationsDesign signal diagrams and document I-O’sWHAT WE NEED TO SEEAbility to travel, sometimes with little notice and on a frequent basis5+ years of experience successfully leading the planning, building, and execution of large scale event productions (Esports, broadcast, or sporting events preferred).5+ years of experience with creating, reading, and building event floorplans and event layouts.Experience with and understanding of event production disciplines, including: video, staging, logistics, lighting, rigging, audio, projection mapping, led technologyProficiency in diagram creation software such as Vizio or LucidchartDemonstrated knowledge of television broadcastingProven track record in project management and coordinating event, vendor, and client initiatives across multiple stakeholdersRemarkable technical, organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organization, with a drive for results, collaboration, and seeing a project through from start to finishPLUSESBachelor’s degree in a relevant field of studyExperience in running Esports eventsA passion for Esports and video gamesThe Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
