Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist to handle the talent acquisition process for various below-the-line television production roles (e.g., Production Assistants, EP Assistants, Script Coordinators, and Writers Assistants) as well as assigned IATSE trainee roles across Sony Pictures Television Studio (SPTS). The TA Specialist will build and maintain positive relationships with production hiring teams by collaborating on effective candidate search and pipeline strategies. The ideal candidate will understand the dynamics of the content production industry, the complexities of the very fast-paced production space and proactively be able to identify an inclusive slate of entry-level talent and pipeline them for future openings.
Responsibilities:
Drive and lead the candidate experience throughout the selection process in partnership with studio production teams
Champion diversity and inclusion strategies throughout the recruitment process
Maintain an active, inclusive pipeline of talent through direct sourcing, industry networking, and leveraging referrals
Effectively take a consultative approach with hiring partners on interviews and selection process
Effectively communicate and collaborate with various unions as needed for off roster hiring or D&I bargained initiatives; partner with Labor Relations to ensure union job postings meet all CBA requirements
Build and maintain solid relationships with People & Organization (Human Resources) Business Partners, Diversity and Inclusion, and Labor Relations to develop recruiting strategies and assess future talent needs
Attend SPTS production meetings/initiatives as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years of recruitment experience leading a full-cycle requisition load
Knowledge of film and/or TV production through demonstrable experience or education
An authentic passion for diversity and inclusion and the ability to weave that into all aspects of the role
Exposure to HR systems, ideally applicant tracking systems
Ability to effectively handle and lead highly confidential information
Ability to build a pipeline of high-potential entry-level talent
Customer service and team orientation that promotes collaboration and outstanding service delivery
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead multiple requisitions and projects simultaneously while remaining effective in both a structured and ambiguous environment
Keen attention to detail, efficient, highly organized, and articulate in both written and verbal communication
Outstanding work ethic, accountability, and ownership of work
Demonstrates the ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
BA / BS degree or equivalent work experience
