Job Description : The Clifton, a historic property located in Charlottesville is seeking a Sales Administrator/Guest Service Agent to join our Sales team. This position will support the Sales team while assisting the Front Desk as needed. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hotel environment and is looking to grow into a sales position.Responsibilities Include:Greet guests into the hotel, making them feel welcome and appreciated.Perform Front Desk duties including answering phones and checking guests into the hotel.Perform administrative duties relevant to account responsibilities in compliance with corporate guidelines.Assist with documenting and organizing detailed requirements of each function.Coordinate activities of various departments to service accounts, such as delivery of VIP amenities.Communicate with sales, front office and reservations in order to coordinate and monitor guest room blocks and special reservation needs.Monitor in house group activity providing assistance as needed such as organizing banquet set up.Establish rapport with and entertain meeting planners while promoting hotel facilities and services. Conduct walking site inspections throughout property.Assist sales staff in promoting hotel, developing leads and securing re-bookings.Handles individual reservations for VIP client ensuring that all arrangements, including upgrades, are handled properly. Coordinating with other departments through oral and written communication.Document tracking of group activity. Access and input data into a computer system to generate account history reports.Job Skills:Excellent customer service skills.Excellent computer and communication skills.Ability to work flexible schedule, as well as being able to work standing on feet and walking throughout hotel or sitting for long periods of time.Qualifications:High school diploma required. Four-year college degree preferred, however any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered.One-year prior hospitality experience in sales, events or banquets preferred.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:8 hour shiftWork Location: One location
