Position Summary:
The Relationship Events Manager is a key member of the Chapter’s fund development team, and is responsible for revenue generation through effective development and management of sustainable relationships for the annual dinner event. The Relationship Events Manager also secures gifts, grants, and sponsorships in support of Chapter events, programs, and organizational priorities from corporate partners and prospects.
This is a full-time position located in Lynnwood or Tukwila, Washington, and reports to the Director of Development.
Responsibilities
Essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop strong relationships in the community with a variety of stakeholders and funders to achieve assigned revenue goals.
Develop and manage the annual plan and budget necessary to successfully implement the Chapter’s relationship events (dinner events, cultivation events, etc.), with particular emphasis on corporate engagement.
Recruit, train, and manage a high-impact volunteer committee to drive revenue for chapter dinner event.
In coordination with volunteers, oversee, manage and implement event logistics and administration, including but not limited to facilities, décor, catering, entertainment, supplies, attendee tracking and communications.
Lead the event sponsorship efforts and fundraising strategies; work in conjunction with volunteers and other chapter staff to identify prospects, create proposals, fulfill benefits and steward sponsors year-round.
Engage individual donors and supporters to successfully achieve fundraising goals.
Create and manage marketing timeline/materials production in collaboration with Communications team; ensure all marketing materials and web/social media presence are in keeping with Association brand and messaging.
Work with Chapter leadership, Board members, committee members and other Development staff to create long-term, beneficial relationships with those who attend and/or support relationship events.
Support other Chapter special events and donor relations activities, as needed.
Research, identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with corporations resulting in annual contributions, grants, program and event sponsorship, workplace giving, and/or other support of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Support, or lead as assigned, growth of corporate relationships across campaigns, events, and funding priorities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
At least three years of demonstrated success in fundraising, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate and individual donors.
Track record of strong event fundraising performance, with year over year growth.
Demonstrated experience managing high-impact volunteer committees to achieve revenue targets.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent public speaking skills; must demonstrate an ability to represent the organization with poise, confidence and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
Ability to analyze information and make timely, appropriate decisions.
Ability to collaborate and work well as part of a team; flexibility and adaptability.
Ability to work independently and succeed in dynamic and fluid environment.
High level of integrity, diplomacy, and initiative.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.

Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed to perform job duties; occasional national travel may be required.
Ability to handle physical activity required on occasion that may include long hours of standing and walking and some lifting/carrying of materials and supplies.
Washington State driver’s license and proof of insurance, and access to dependable automobile.
