| Job Description : | Instructors/ Guides are responsible for leading fun and informative tours, while also keeping guests safe and comfortable. Other responsibilities include:· Preparing for tours and helping guests on and off of SUP boards and kayaks· Providing in depth paddling and safety instruction (SUP and Kayak 101)· Monitoring weather conditions and adjusting tours as needed· Performing rescues of persons and equipment and facilitating evacuation when neededQualifications:· Previous Stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, water sports experience and guide experience preferred· Knowledge of Nashville and local history· Passion for customer service, watersports, fitness and outdoor recreation· Ability to lead and communicate with groups of varying ages, abilities, and sizes· Ability to engage and entertain guests, while maintaining a professional and educational demeanorRequirements:· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions· Ability to paddle for two hours· Ability to move/lift 50-75 lbs· Ability to work with a team· CPR Certification (within 15 days of hire date)· Attend and participate in guide meetings***Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and be able to maneuver trailers and public boat ramps within city limits.****Must pass all required licensing and training courses**Thank you for your interest!
