|Job Description :||General Summary of Job DutiesTo supervise all day-to-day duties performed in the Hotel, making informed and responsible decisions, continually revisiting and training of staff on existing or new policiesEssential Job Responsibilities and DutiesMaintain a high quality of guest service according to Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. Mission Statement and F.A.S.T. Track Values Statement.Directs and leads the activities of the Front Desk Clerks to ensure smooth flow of operations.Schedules all clerk breaks and lunches on assigned shift to ensure uninterrupted service.Coordinates with the different departments concerned regarding changes in promotions, events and hotel rates.Updates front desk boards and informs Clerks on the changes.Answers all guests’ complaints and billing problems.Coordinates with bus promotions arrival of busses for group check in.Blocks the required rooms the group guests.Updates regularly the hotel occupancy board and coordinates with different departments regarding room availability.Coordinates with housekeeping and engineering department’s on-going maintenance projects in the hotel.Prints our daily occupancy reports and distributes same to the departments concerned.Maintains an inventory of supplies and forms used by the front desk and makes requisition to replenish the same as the need arises.Sees to it that the front desk is kept clean and neat at all times.Assists with Front Desk Clerk duties as needed.Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.Maintain an open line of communication with Management.Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors.Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsSkills, Education and Other RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not requiredRequired Work CardsIdentification that establishes identity.Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States.Machinery, Work Equipment, Programs, Software, Hardware Used· Computer· Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and Outlook· Property Management System (PMS)· Multi-line telephone· Fax machine· Copier· Calculator / 10-Key· If filling in for Housekeeping Inspector:· Housekeeping Carts, Linen Bins, Broom, Mops, Cleaning Cloths, Miscellaneous items needed for cleaning· Clipboard and Pen to record progress of daily work· Safety glasses and protective gloves· Location and proper use of eye wash stations· Location and use of SDS· Location and proper use of Eco Lab bottle fill stations for cleaning supplies· Properly Labeled Bottles for use with cleaning chemicals· Vacuum CleanerJob Type: Full-timePay: $11.50 – $16.75 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Hotel experience: 1 year (Required)Work Location: One location|
