Job Description : Sesame Place is seeking a proven leader with management experience and exceptional team-building skills to oversee our complex and challenging park operations. What you get to do:
As a Manager of Park Operations, you’ll play a lead role in ensuring positive, memorable guest experiences. You’ll strive to exceed guest expectations while resolving any and all guest situations. This involves training, coaching and mentoring Ambassadors to deliver consistently outstanding performances. You will also:

Directly responsible for leading 75+ ambassadors and directing the day-to-day operations and special events of the Sesame Place (parking, tolls, ticketing, guest relations, in park upgrade center and quick queue) teams
Ensure the efficient use of labor and expenses while constantly seeking improved practices and procedures
Monitor and manage the operational areas as assigned within the Guest Arrival Operations department
Ensure compliance with all SEA protocols, procedures, standards and regulations
Hold ambassadors and leadership accountable for guest service / engagement standards, policy and procedural exceptions, guest service metrics, and other performance measures
Oversee employee training resulting in a professional workforce and a safe work environment
Mentor and develop the team in the interest of preparing them for both daily operation and advancement
Communicate all relevant information to ambassadors, supervisors and all levels of leadership as appropriate through written and verbal methods
Communicate with internal and external guests/customers to achieve optimal guest satisfaction and good business relations with vendors and contractors
Create and maintain a safe and secure environment for ambassadors, guests as well as safeguard company assets
Execute Emergency Action Plans as needed including guest escorts from major attractions
Oversee Park’s lost and found process
Attend meetings and participate as Park Manager on Duty for opening and closing shifts
Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:

At least 18 years of age
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
Three (3) or more years of operational theme park experience preferred
A valid driver’s license
A passion for customer service
Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Active listener with the ability to anticipate guests’ needs
Flexibility to perform varied duties
Proficiency with Microsoft Office

What else is important:

Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
