Job Description : SUMMARY:
Assists Warehouse Manager in effectively and profitably managing and directing the day-to-day aspects of all warehouse operations at Snapdragon Stadium.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DEPENDING ON LOCATION:

OPERATIONS
Meets warehouse operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Resolves problems and identifies warehouse system improvements.
Coordinates all warehousing activities with management team.
Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items.
Moves inventory by scheduling products to be moved to and from the warehouse, coordinates inventory transfers with related departments.
Maintains storage areas by organizing floor space; adheres to storage design principles.
Contact vendors to reconcile invoice discrepancies, shortages, over shipments or to arrange for emergency shipments or requisitions.
Submits reports of damage, outdated stock, or supplies, over and under shipments, return of goods to vendor, etc.
Keep all storage areas and warehouse areas organized and clean.
Conducts physical cycle counts, reconciles differences, and inputs data.
Maintains perpetual warehouse inventories and completes all purchasing requisitions.
Ensures compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
Executes preventative maintenance schedule of all equipment.
STAFFING & DEVELOPMENT
Provides supervision, leadership, training, and development of staff including but not limited to warehouse supervisors, porters, and student warehouse employees.
Plans and prepares work schedules and assigning employees to specific duties and tasks.
Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews.
Completes and maintains ServSafe Managers certification.
GUEST SERVICES
Addresses complaints and resolves problems.
Develops and maintains working relationships with customers, coworkers, vendors, student organizations, faculty, staff, and University personnel.
Responsible for ensuring continued compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety and employment laws and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The minimum requirement for applicants is an Associates Degree from an accredited institution; plus, 6 months or more in large volume food service preferably in a stadium or entertainment venue. Computer and software proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, detail oriented, and organization skills required.
Food Handler certificate from California preferred. Valid state driver’s license is required.
Must Comply with SDSU COVID-19 Vaccine Policies and Procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read, write and understand English. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines, and objectives. Requires the ability to read, comprehend, and interpret general business information. Requires the ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees using correct English and a well-modulated voice. Requires the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, subordinates, vendors, other departments, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATIC SKILLS:
Requires the ability to apply basic math concepts; calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, portions, percentages, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY:
Requires the ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out general written or oral instructions. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize work and pay attention to detail. Requires good analytical and quantitative skills.
MANUAL DEXTERITY:
Must be able to utilize a computer. Requires the ability to use a variety of office machines and food service equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be physically able to operate equipment (to include but not limited to) office equipment such as computers, copy machines, and fax machines, cars, trucks, and golf carts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, and stand for prolonged hours. Must be able to move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds.
WORK CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS:
Work is regularly performed in a warehouse where there is frequent exposure to food fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to humid and hot conditions as well as cleaning chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION:
A background check must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a full-time, part-time non-student, or sensitive student position with Aztec Shops Ltd.
