Hard working team members can increase their compensation by demonstrating their ability to meet and exceed company standards or by developing an additional craft.The Fabrication Designer will be responsible for the creation of detailed shop drawings to be used during production and permitting. POSITION RESPOSIBILITIES Produce shop drawings themed construction design and custom fabricated elementsProvide accurate 2D drawing and 3D model files for use in computer-aided manufacturing.Work closely with engineers to finalize approved construction drawings that meet building, structural, and electrical codes, design regulations while maintaining the creative intent of our high-profile clients.Collaborate with design, fabrication, and install teams to ensure drawings reflect any requirements each department may have including restrictions due to site conditions.Interpret structural and architectural drawings to determine the best possible fabrication and installation approach for each unique project.Properly transfer and store highly sensitive material.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Associates or bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Engineering Design Technology, Engineering CAD Technology,Architecture, or similar.2 to 5 years of experience/education in signage, theme park design, manufacturing, product design, architecture or fabrication design.Familiarity with materials, engineering, machining, welding, fabricating, finishing, and installation processes.Experience reviewing design packages/briefs and turning them into comprehensive fabrication design packages(shop drawings) for production.Must be able to multitask and work on a wide range of projects while maintaining deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Highly team oriented with an emphasis on learning and a self-starting/motivating mentality.Strong drawing/illustration abilities.Attention to detail, form, color, and aesthetics.Strong communication skills.SOFTWARE AutoCAD drafting and drawing layout experience required.3D modeling experience desired in Rhino 3D, Fusion 360, and/or zBrush.Familiar with the Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Illustrator and Photoshop.Microsoft Outlook and Excel.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Competitive compensation based on experience.Health insurance option available to full-time employees.Paid time off.Additional bonus paid holidays.Project based overtime and performance bonuses available.Candidates must meet the following requirements prior to being considered for full-time or part-time employment: Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.Must have reliable transportation to and from work.SPI assumes all employees can work a 8 A.M.-5 P.M, a typical 40 work week.SPI requires that employees work overtime as required to meet project deadlines.Compensation and Benefits: Compensation is competitive based on experience.Benefits are available based on employer paying percentage of employee’s health insurance.PTO.Additional PTO Holidays.Project based overtime and bonuses available.SPI Themed Construction 555 West Landstreet Rd.
