We are looking for a creative and proven leader to help evolve our premier video broadcast and events strategy and to lead a talented team of marketers to bring that strategy to life.
As the Broadcast and Events Strategy Lead, you will be responsible for building and delivering a world-class strategy that is innovative and showcases the future of storytelling at Xbox. This includes assessing how premier video broadcasts and digital/physical events can best delight our audiences and support business needs over the next 3+ years. You will also lead the team of creative and talented marketers and Executive Producers, and help them deliver on that strategy.
Gaming at Microsoft is an exciting business, with unprecedented levels of investment and support throughout the company. This role will frequently interact with executives across the gaming organization and will partner closely with teams across Microsoft including engineering, communications, social, product marketing, integrated marketing, finance, business development, and the field marketing team.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
Assess gaming audience and business needs to determine the strategic approach for Xbox premier broadcasts and digital/physical events that highlights key gaming content at Xbox and fosters an emotional connection with the gaming audience and Xbox players around the world.
Lead a team of 5-10 marketing professionals with various level of experience, providing great coaching and career development to support their aspirations and opportunities at Xbox and Microsoft.
Stay up-to-date on the latest gaming market and audience research as well as new approaches to events and digital storytelling
Support the team in executing event and content marketing plans by providing clarity around key objectives, helping to address any roadblocks, and fostering collaboration and information sharing across the team and with partner organizations.
Maintain a learning culture that regularly assesses results and learnings and feeds that back into future plans so that we continually evolve and grow.
Build and maintain strong relationships within Xbox and with external gaming partners to help identify opportunities and deliver amazing content-based experiences.
Be a great teammate who seeks out collaboration opportunities and upholds a safe and supportive working environment.

Qualifications
10+ years experience in marketing or digital storytelling, including experience with video production and/or event marketing.
University degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
Familiarity and passion for gaming, pop-culture, and entertainment.
Proven ability as a people manager in coaching, developing and retaining great talent.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve problems, execute effectively, and manage multiple projects at once.
Proven track record of collaboration, influencing for results, and communicating with executive audiences.
Ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources to shape and clearly communicate a strong point-of-view or recommendation.
This position can be based in either Redmond, WA or Los Angeles, CA and may require travel, both domestic and international, of 30+ days per year.
