JOB DESCRIPTION FOX 13 and FOX 13+ is hiring a Digital Marketing Producer to be a part of our award-winning Marketing & Creative Services team in Seattle, Washington. This position must be up to speed on all the latest digital trends/platforms and have a passion (plus the skills) to produce compelling, attention grabbing promotional content supporting our news, sports and entertainment programming. This is a hands-on, collaborative role in a fast-paced environment. You must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and as part of the wider team. Ideal candidates must have a keen eye and ear for intriguing soundbites and images to highlight our dynamic brand and engage new audiences. RESPONSIBILITIES: Create digitally-optimized promotional content for local news, sports and network entertainment priorities. Write, produce, direct, shoot and edit original material as needed and in combination with provided assets. Work closely with the newsroom, ensuring tight collaboration and support of digital content producer(s) as needed. Write compelling and attention-grabbing copy for a variety of audiences and social media platforms. Closely track market and industry trends. Use research to optimize performance and influence creative choices. Other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU WILL NEED Experience with Adobe Premiere or a similar software; must have strong editing skills Strong creative writing skills; ideally tailored to social media Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Spark, Canva, or a similar software to create and design images for multiple social media feeds Experience shooting video with DSLR cameras and basic lighting skills Strong project management skills Ability to create ideas and content on your own Excellent knowledge of and high-level of interest in news, local sports, current events, and social media trends A good understanding of content marketing and content strategy Basic experience with social media advertising BA/BS degree, preferably in Journalism, Broadcasting, Communications or related field Must be willing to work weekends and after hours for special events on occasion We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
