To see the Experience for yourself, be sure to check us out at ExperienceSeuss.com!The position is scheduled to begin in mid-to-late March 2022, and last for the duration of our time in Denver, approximately 4 months, with the opportunity to extend based on ticket sales and customer success metrics.We are looking for a team of superstar costume characters/mascots to bring the Dr Seuaa most iconic characters to life, including Cat in the Hat, , pose for pictures as Thing 1 & 2, cause havoc as The Grinch, or speak for the trees as The Lorax! (Please note below height requirements for characters).Don’t fit the requirements? Not to worry! We are also looking for a team of character handlers – assisting in the escorting of costume characters throughout the experience.Job Description:As a member of our Seuss Experience Character Team, your duties will include but not be limited to the following:- Adhere to the Dr. Seuss Character integrity guidelines – ensuring our Character team members are properly representing the character costumes (Appearance, Cleaning/Maintenance, Acting) at all times.- Perform as one or many iconic Dr. Seuss Character roles while in costume – including The Cat in the Hat (Height requirements 5’6-5’10”), Thing 1, Thing 2 (Height Requirements 5’0” – 5’5”), The Lorax (5’0” – 5’5”), and The Grinch (5’6” – 5’9”).- Depending on the shift, serving as the handler of the costume character – serving as the interaction lead between the guest and character through interaction and storytelling.- Guide up to two costume characters to appropriate stages within the experience, facilitating guest interaction and engagement with the character(s).- Provide world class customer service to our guests, facilitating guess feedback and concerns to relevant management as necessaryQualifications:- High School Diploma Required, College experience preferred but not required.- 1 Year Experience in theme park, performance, character acting, hospitality, or customer service preferred.- Previous acting and/or costume character experience- Ability and/or comfort to work in large-group environments with multiple staff and up to several dozen guests at a time. Public speaking comfort and experience strongly preferred.- Fluency in English required. Proficiency in other languages a plus, but not required.- Ability to work 20-40 hours per week including weekends, evenings and holidays.- This position requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, repetitive motions, arm waving, bending, kneeling and climbing, at time while wearing costume.
