It is the primary responsibility of the Poker Cashier to process monetary transactions and exchanges with guests and staff in the Poker cage area.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform chip redemption and sales to patrons, Poker runners and Floor personnel
Meet the demands of a fast-paced gaming environment by using good judgement and the ability to multi-task
Secure and document all recordable transactions made with company assets
Complete electronic multiple transaction logs accurately, complete transaction logs manually, when necessary
Balance bank at end of shift
Assist patrons with general information upon request
Issue or surrender poker safety deposit boxes and provide access to patrons
Establish new patron accounts following Title 31 guidelines
Provide buy-in and re-buys for patrons participating in all poker tournaments. Assist Poker room supervision with paid patron participation totals.
Perform other job-related duties as requested
High school diploma or equivalent
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
Six (6) months of experience as a Casino Cage Cashier
Experience working in a similar resort setting
Experience with Title 31
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and money handling
Ability to balance a bank without assistance (locating errors when out of balance)
Knowledgeable of 10-key adding machine and currency counter
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
