Overlooking the world-renowned Torrey Pines Golf Course with views of the Pacific Ocean, the AAA Five Diamond rated resort features 170 rooms and suites, 2 restaurants, a full-service spa, versatile meeting spaces, and unprecedented service.

The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.

SUMMARY

The Bell/Valet Attendant (“Aparcacoches y Botones”) welcomes our guests with a warm friendly smile and provides courteous, professional assistance to arriving and departing guests. Enthusiastically inform our guests of all amenities, features, and equipment available in the room and services available throughout the hotel. Proactively provide our guests with personal service and attention that exceeds their expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conveys a favorable image of the organization by projecting a positive, professional appearance and demeanor to our guests.
Enhances our guests’ experience by offering assistance in unpacking and organizing their luggage.
Creates positive memories for our guests by informing them of local activities and entertainment with energy and enthusiasm.
Provides personal services such as delivering messages, packages, and faxes to guest rooms and meeting rooms in a timely manner.
Schedules and arrange transportation services for our guests.
Drives car to hotel garage, adhering to all traffic regulations, and speed limits, using caution not to damage the vehicle being driven and other vehicles in the vicinity.
Opens hotel doors for all guests and gives verbal welcome when not parking or retrieving guest cars.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous similar position in top-quality restaurant or hotel is required.
Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.
Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times.
Ability to be poised under pressure with continued smiles, and maintain a highly diplomatic attitude with challenging guests and under stressful circumstances.
Must possess a valid California driver’s license.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Open availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift.
