| Job Description : | ASSISTANT TECHNICAL DIRECTORThe John W. Engeman Theater is currently seeking an Assistant Technical Director.Seeking a full-time ATD to join our team. Having experience in multiple fields is a plus. We have shows running all year around. Those hired will be working in our Ronkonkoma based scenic shop as well as our Northport theater location. Theatrical carpentry experience preferred. This is an immediate position.Qualifications:– General Stagecraft– Ability to lift at least 75lbs– Comfortable working at heights– Must be able to take direction and work with a team-Comfortable operating machinery-Paint and welding skills are a plus!Responsibilities:– Providing support to all productions– Building Scenic elements, Set-up, operation and Striking for ShowThis position requires some evening and weekend availability. Qualified candidates must have their own transportation and close proximity to Northport and Ronkonkoma.The John W. Engeman Theater is an equal opportunity employer.
